Part Time Professional Acting Program - Brisbane Course Information
Suitability:
This program is designed for aspiring and professional actors seeking intensive, industry-focused training while still maintaining balance with work, life, and audition commitments. Open to Brisbane-based actors aged 18+.
Dates And Times:
Course Dates: 21st February -1st August 2026.
All Applications Due: February 2026
Course Contact Hours: Saturdays 10am - 3pm & Wednesdays 6.30pm-9.30pm.
Homework: Students are assigned 2-5 hours of homework each week.
*Because our faculty are regularly engaged in professional productions, small variations to the above schedule may occur.
**Students will be offered a small number of additional classes and guidance/career consult meetings with tutors outside these hours (any additional curriculum is included in the course fee and appropriate notice given)

After submitting your application form we will be in touch within 7 days to arrange an audition interview.
Applications are assessed and offers made on a rolling basis. As places are limited, early application is strongly encouraged. Many spots will be filled before the February deadline.
Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to undertake training in one of our other acting courses and are welcome to reapply for a future intake.
Due to time constraints we are unable to provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
Audition Information:
Entry into the Professional Part Time Program Brisbane is selective and determined by audition.
Auditions for the program are conducted via Zoom.

Our faculty are internationally recognised industry professionals, teaching and collaborating with leading institutions such as NIDA, WAAPA, QUT, Actors Centre Australia, VCA, the Australian College of the Arts, Trinity College London, Melbourne Theatre Company, Sydney Theatre Company, Sydney Opera House, the National Theatre Drama School, Belvoir, Malthouse Theatre, and many more.
Beyond their teaching, our tutors are active professionals — starring in, directing, and producing major theatre, film and television projects across Australia and internationally.
Students train directly with Studio Founder Peter Rasmussen, ensuring strong personal focus and consistent guidance. You’ll also work with a small team of core tutors who understand your strengths and challenges, supported by guest artists from around the country and abroad. Throughout the six months, our faculty guide your growth, offer personalised training recommendations, and provide genuine industry insight and opportunities.
