Aged Care Commerical – Seeking People 75+

Welcome! And thank you for making it this far. We’re excited you’re considering being part of this fun and landmark TV commercial for a trusted Australian Aged Care Provider.

As Queensland’s most trusted provider of aged care services to the home, everything they do is about supporting you to live life your way. So rather than focus on ailments and frailty, this ad will focus on two things:

1. The strength and spirit of your generation, who have grown up with rock and roll, space travel and have lived full and adventurous lives!

2. Expressing what Living life your way might look like… your likes, your wants, your irks, your quirks, your house, your rules, your way!

Who we’re looking for:

People aged 75+ located in Brisbane or surrounds.

We are looking for people with a likeable dignity, kindness + strength.

People who have a good sense of who they are.

People with a quiet confidence, a twinkle in their eye.

Characters who capture the camera, just by being in front of it, rather than being performative.

People with great personal stories from a life well lived.

If one of your children, or a friend, pushed you forward for this and you are thinking that maybe you’re not interesting enough… chances are you are exactly who we are looking for! The best people never think of themselves that way.

Project details:

Paid commercial: Approx. $3,500

Key Dates: Before applying please ensure you can make yourself available on the following dates: Monday 25th May, Wednesday 27th May, Thursday 28th May and Friday 29th May 2026.

Deadline: Please send your video at your soonest convenience. Submissions close Wednesday, 6th of May 2026

What we need from you:

Please send a short video (shot on your phone, 1–2 minutes) showing:

1. A bit about yourself and your life

2. Something you’re particular about - a habit, quirk, or preference that shows how you live life your way

3. Then pause, stay still, and look at the camera for about 10 seconds

Filming tips:

Shoot in landscape (horizontal)

Keep it simple - natural light is best

Looking at photos like this, it’s impossible not to think how fun, confident and alive people like you who are now in their 70s and 80s were. Shirtless, flirting, dancing, laughing, breaking rules, not overthinking anything. You didn’t suddenly become “elderly” one day, that energy never disappeared, it just stopped being recognised. This campaign is about reminding people that you were once the coolest people in the room… and a part of you still is.

About Peter

Peter Rasmussen is an Industry leading Casting Director and Acting Coach with over 25 years of industry expertise, Casting everything from commercials to major feature films.

Peter prides himself on providing creative and innovative Casting to all types of productions - from Feature Films to Commercials. Some of his casting credits include AACTA nominated The Butterfly Tree and Celeste, as well as working on many television shows including Neighbours, Packed to the Rafters, Sea Patrol, H20 – Just add water, The Doctor Blake Mysteries and the Underbelly Movies Files.

As an Acting Coach, Peter has studied and draws on various techniques from Lee Strasburg, Ivanna Chubbuck, Eric Morris, Uta Hagan, Sanford Meisner, Robert Cohen, Mark Travis, Practical Aesthetics and Howard Fine.

His classes are highly sought after around Australia, and has taught at many major schools including the Queensland University of Technology – Fine Arts Program, Griffith Film School, Queensland Conservatorium’s Performing Arts Programme, The Howard Fine School and the Melbourne Acting Academy.

Peter's teaching method centres around training the kind of actors that he loves to see in his audition room - bold, versatile and engaging.

He is well respected for providing fantastic casts to productions and unleashing his students true potential.

His extensive knowledge of the worlds best acting techniques allows him to personalise the best methods for each individual actor. Peter’s students frequently go on to international success in lead roles.
